What is DLC?
DLC is a weekend where brothers and sisters from all around the district assemble for workshops and activities led by the Western District officers!
When should i arrive?
DLC officially begins on Friday, but you can arrive Friday anytime or Saturday morning. Coordinate with the brothers and sisters at your school and inform the host chapter on what time you plan on arriving when you fill out the registration survey.
What if i'm flying?
If you fly into LAX airport, we request that you spend $10 to take the fly away bus to Westwood. From there, we will have a brother or sister from Psi or Epsilon Kappa pick you up from Westwood.
How do i get around the surrounding areas?
There will be trips to Westwood for food, which is easily accessible by walking. If we need to drive for our service event, there will be brothers and sisters of the host chapter who will drive you to the event.

What is nib? How am i able to audition for nib at dlc?

At DLC, we will provide a recording room on Saturday for anyone who would like to record for an NIB audition tape. From the registration form we will be able to send out a form to gauge preference on a specific time slot.

Driving Directions
From Norcal: Take the US 101-S or I-580 E to the I-5 S. Take exit 57 Church Ln from I-405 S. Follow Sunset Blvd and Hilgard Ave to Charles E Young Dr E From San Diego: Head North and follow the I-5 N, CA-73 N and I-405 N to Wilshire Blvd. Take exit 55B-C Wilshire Blvd East from I-405 N. Continue on Wilshire Blvd. Take a left onto Malcom Ave, a left onto Westholme Ave to Charles E Young Dr E. |
parking
Parking on campus is $12 per day. A permit can be purchased at parking booths (they take cash only).
Parking passes may be reserved in advance. Handicapped parking permits are $5. The booth is open from 6:30 AM to 7:30 PM, Mon-Fri. On weekends & evenings permits can be purchased at the automatic self-parking kiosks on Level 1. For short visits, there is automated ‘pay-by-space’ parking on level one of the parking structure (see map below). The rates there are $3 per hour for the first 2 hours, then $12 for the day. We suggest parking in lot 11 or Sunset Village Parking structure for $8 a day. This requres you to buy a new pass at 6 am each day. However, you have the option to pay Friday night after 4pm for the full weekend without having to renew your parking pass at 6 am. |
Travel advice
The closest major airport to UCLA is the Los Angeles International Airport, LAX. If you are flying into LAX, we suggest that you take the $10 fly away bus into Westwood after you land. From there, we will have brothers and sisters able to pick you up and take you to where you are staying/on campus.
